Stephen Curry's explosive fourth quarter performance proved to be the difference-maker as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 104-89 on Thursday night at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
Trailing by 84-81 with less than six minutes remaining, Curry took over the game. The two-time MVP drained three consecutive three-pointers, igniting a 13-0 run that gave Golden State a commanding 97-84 advantage.
Curry finished the game with a team-high 40 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. He was 8-of-15 from three-point range, including 5-of-8 in the fourth quarter.
The Cavaliers were led by Darius Garland's 24 points and seven assists. However, Curry's heroics proved too much to overcome.
