Jaguarão Gears Up for Semana Farroupilha 2024
The Gateway to the South Prepares for the Largest Cultural Event in Rio Grande do Sul
Preparations are underway in Jaguarão, the southernmost city in Brazil, for the 2024 edition of Semana Farroupilha, the largest cultural event in Rio Grande do Sul.
This year's celebration will take place from September 18th to 25th and is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors to the city.
Semana Farroupilha is a celebration of the gaucho culture, which is deeply rooted in Rio Grande do Sul. The event features traditional music, dance, food, and rodeos.
The highlight of the festivities is the Farroupilha Parade, which takes place on September 20th. The parade features over 2,000 gauchos on horseback, as well as floats and traditional music groups.
