Trump Faces Charges Stemming from Special Counsel Investigation
Former President Donald Trump has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges that stem from Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigation into the 2020 election.
According to Fox News, Trump has been ordered to appear in federal court in Miami on Tuesday following the indictment. Trump reportedly insisted during a phone call with Georgia's Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger that he had won the state's electoral votes and pressured Raffensperger to "find" enough votes to overturn the election results.
The indictment is the latest in a series of legal challenges Trump has faced since leaving office. He has been indicted four times in 2023.
